Default Suggestions for Channeling Nuker Build

Does anyone have any suggestions for maximizing damage output with a Channeling Rit? I have looked through the forums and played different builds, and I have a fairly basic build centered around Bloodsong, Spirit Burn, Lightning Rift, and Essence Strike. What would you suggest for

1) A secondary class
2) Elite skill, and whether it should go Rit or maybe be something like Echo or Glyph of Energy

Thanks!

I don't have all of the rit elites in Elona, however, if the skills do as they say they do...

Destructive Was Glaive (e)
Renewing Surge
Empowerment
Renewing Memories
Channelled Strike
Essence Strike
Gaze From Beyond
Flesh Of My Flesh

Now you can drop Renewing Memories for a healing spell (like Spirit To Flesh), its up to you.

Channelling: 12 (+headpiece + rune)
Spawning: 12 (+rune)
Restoration: 3 (+rune)

You should have lots of energy (because of the energy regain and lowering costs, as well as do some nice damage + penetration.

Hope this helps.

I don't have the elite or Renewing Memories from Elona , so I can't test it.

I lately had fun with this build:

Splinter Weapon, Ancestors' Rage, Essence Strike, Spirit Rift, Bloodsong, Zealot's Fire, Wielder's Zeal, Flesh of My Flesh

Rt/Mo

12+1+3 Chaneling
9+1 Spawning
9 Smite
Rest Resto

If your party has no melee you can smite, have 12+1 Spawning and exchange Zealots Fire for something more apropriate ... Wielders Remedy is best to make sure physical damage ally is not weakened or even blinded.

hint: while barrage/scythe, etc helps to make most from Splinter weapon, just wanding center of packed group provides enough yellow numbers to be pleased, and anyone can wand, even monks

Personally if damage is what you want I would use a Ranger secondary. The skills I use are Blood song or Favorable Winds / Essence strike / Wielders Strike / Warmongers Weapon / Heal skill of your choice / Flesh of my flesh / Barrage- Elite / Splinter Weapon

Zealous Bow
Max Channeling
Balance in Marksmanship and what ever your heal choice Attribute calls out.

Happy blasting

Yeah, this is my ranger build, as of very recently :-) Thanks for the suggestions!

I've been goofing around with channeling on my rit a lot too... Lately i have been using the following build which seems relatively effective::

Channeling:: 16 (12+3+1)
Restoration:: 9 (8+1)
Spawning:: 11 (10+1)

[skill]Spirit Rift[/skill][skill]Essence Strike[/skill][skill]Spirit Burn[/skill][skill]Ghostly Haste[/skill][skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill] -Or- [skill]Lively Was Naomei[/skill] -Or- [skill]Flesh Of My Flesh[/skill]

Basically, this setup allows for just a little bit of party support, while maintaining a constant dps from channeling spells. With a spirit up before a fight (i usually go with Bloodsong before hand, then life a few seconds into the fight), you can recycle constant channeling spikes, as you alternate your energy regain with Essence Strike and Offering of Spirit (OoS).

Basically, if you are wise about when to use either skill of energy managment, you can spam almost indefinitly. The generaly method of chaining that i use is:: Bloodsong --> Ghostly Haste --> Spirit Rift --> Spirit Burn --> Essence strike --> Life (used off and on in chain when it is not up) --> Offering of Spirit (Repeat chain starting @ Spirit Rift). With Ghostly Haste up, you will almost always have a channeling spell ready...and if the chain is not followed, its ok, one can still continually spam provided they choose wisely when to use Essence Strike and OoS.

Try it out! The party seems to enjoy getting 100 hp heals at random times throughout a battle... as well as my fairly constand AoE dmg and additional moderate spiking ability on single targets...

cheers

After much experimentation I found this build wo be nice:

[skill]Grasping was Kuurong[/skill][skill]Essence Strike[/skill][skill]Spirit Burn[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Spirit Rift[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill][skill]Flesh of my Flesh[/skill]

Sometimes it's fun to switch in Earthbind instead of Vengeful Weapon.

If I go into Alliance Battle I like to take Weapon of Shadow.

To use it I basically select my target, cast Spirit Rift, run over and drop Kuurong's ashes, cast Ancestor's Rage on myself. This works really nicely on lasy casters in AB or someone who is casting a spell and doesn't want to interrupt themselves. Kuurong's damage is armor ignoring and the knockdown means they can't run out of your spirit rift allowing you to get off a huge spike.

I usually use this build when I go into battle with a channeling rit:

Channeling 16 (12+3+1)
Restoration 9 (no rune used)
Communing 6+1

1) Caretakers Charge
2) Channeled Strike
3) Spirit Rift
4) Essence Strike
5) Mighty Was Vorizon
6) Destruction
7) Soothing Memories
8) Flesh of my flesh

With Mighty, you get 42 seconds added armor and energy, of which using caretakers and essence will give you energy back (assuming you put out the spirit). Recharge on Mighty is 30 seconds, so you can keep that up nonstop and get the benefits of holding an item.
